Day 17- Reflection
I am really stuck here. I have been "trying" to eat better, and I feel like I have been succeeding at that. But, I don't feel like I am losing weight. I haven't worked out since Monday, I was really sore from Zumba, and want to go again tonight, but don't think I will be able to, so I am going to work out this afternoon. But next week will be hard b/c of being at the beach. I am bringing my roller blades, so that is something, but still, I need to start eating 3 meals a day again. Right now I am FAMISHED!

Day 13-Introduction to Zumba
So I felt pretty crappy about eating Chinese food so I really wanted to work out EXTRA today. Holy shit, Zumba where have you been all my life?
I went to the gym and did 30 minutes on the eliptical then went to my first Zumba class. It was nice for me cuz there were only 5 people there. I can't beleive how much it kicked my ass. It was totally hardcore, non stop dancing, working the abs, arms, legs EVERYTHING. I can't believe it was my first class. I was eyeballing the clock after 30 minutes, and had 30 more to go!!!!!!!!!!! But, it was really worth it, I am so sore today, but that is a GOOD thing.

Week 3 Goal
Ok, I did pretty well without drinking for a week. Just last night, so it doesn't count, right?
For this week, part of my "feeling great" goal is going to be to do something that I enjoy for one hour each day. It can be watch my favorite show on TV, read a book, go to Panera for coffee, or whatever. I mean, I can't just look good, i have to FEEL good too!
I will also sustain from drinking and will work out everyday too.

Actually, Grammie's bday was the 16th, but we went out to see her today. Angel Food Cake with ICING...yummo...but I only had a amall piece..then out to dinner with the rents and had pita and artichoke dip...so bad for you but so good...I wasn't even hungry, the Hoodie was working, but I ordered a turkey burger anyways...a little self control would have been nice, but I took half home, then ate it at like 1030...since breakfast was at 1100 again!!

I thought I was going to do really well today. I worked out early, and even ate a veggie patty BEFORE going out to eat, so I would only eat a salad...but the day caught up with me and after dinner I was CRAVING chocolate. I bought Special K chocolate delight, but FORGOT. I made Jamie go to DQ and I bought a package of Reduced Fat mint chocolate bars. I felt soooo guilty driving home, when I walked in the door I put them in the freezer and didn't eat one! BUT...after thinking and thinking about it, I realized that even though I ate all day, the most substantial things I ate were salads and wings, with barely any protein. So I snacked in some turkey and cheese and then indulges in a bag of Peanut Dark Chocolate MMs. Oh well, I will try again tomorrow!

Day Six-THE BEST DAY YET!
I felt so great all day today, barely hungry at all. I tried to do "no carbs" today too, and it went well...I would think it would be better to say "no white flour products" since I had peanut butter with some carbs in it, but whatever. I had the no bloated feeling all day! Felt Great!! Did a bang up job at the gym today too, 45 minutes and then signed up for Fitlinxx which keeps track of all my data everytime I go on a machine! updated it to and burned over 1400 calories in 4 work outs! Not bad I think!! We will see, tomorrow I weigh in!

Day Five
I gave up Hoodia today...I was so off schedule, we slept till like noon and then were running around...I ate three LARGE meals, with food that was "semi" healthy...what really got me was at the christening, I couldn't find bottled water, so I had a can of sierra mist and a can of iced tea....urgh!! And, Jamie and I wanted to walk after dinner, but we didn't get our butts off the couch, so no work out for me today! I will make up for it tomorrow at the gym though!

Day Four-The Wedding
So I knew that today I was going to splurge, so I made sure to work out and not eat a lot during the day. I took two Hoodia pills instead of 3 and no heart racing today! I found that at dinner, after I ate my salad, I wasn't even hungry for my meal! So I only had a few bites to taste everything and Jamie ate the rest! So maybe the Hoodia is working!! Again, the downfall was the wine and beer :-( So I am stating a new goal for this week, Sunday to Sunday...
I will not have any alcoholic beverages this week AT ALL
I know it will make a HUGE difference, I've done the no alcohol diet before and lost 5 pounds
I did not meet my requirement for the week already in exercise since I skipped Friday ( but I have to say, I think my body needed to recover anyways, I am still sore!!)

Day Three-A Disaster
Yesterday day I really blew it. There was no work out in sight, I was just too busy. EXCUSES EXCUSES!!!!!! What I could have done better was wake up earlier, but I really think those Hoodia pills are keeping me up. I was up till 230!!!!! So I decided that I wouldn't take one after 7pm. So when I woke up I took one at 1130 and then my second at 130 and my god, my heart was racing all day!!!! I guess I have to really get back on a "schedule" to get it right.
My eating wasn't all that great either....I was fine until we went to the Pirate Game....all I wanted was wings, b/c I wanted no carbs....instead I got Nachos and Cheese...urgh....then, met friends at the bar...had TWO BEERS which was my limit...but then Jam and I went to another bar, had 2 and a half more beers, then went to Get Go and had a feast!!! When I got home, I ate like a TONE of candy.....a very sad day for me....

I really really really did NOT want to work out today. But my friend Susan wanted to go for a walk, so I decided that she would be my motivation. I did pretty well with my food today, not too hungry. But Drinking got me...5 glasses of wine and two vodkas and Iced tea!!! I knew that would be my downfall!! I also did not take my third Hoodia because I ate dinner so late and didn't want the caffeine to keep me up!!

Day One
I woke up late, so I had breakfast around 11 and my first Hoodia pill with LOTS of water. Updated my IPOD so I am going to work out for an hour. So far everything is pretty good!! Plan out eating a late lunch around 4 and my second pill. Going to my mother in laws for dinner, not sure if I will be hungry! WOO HOO!!! That's the idea, right?

The Supplement
I just got back from dumping all my yucky clothes off and walking around the mall. There are some really nice stores there! It made me really pumped for shopping in September!!!
I also researched diet supplements, and even though I have always been VERY against them, I'm looking for all the help I can get. So I settled on something called the 20 day Hoodia Diet. It seems safe and natural, except that it has "naturally occurring caffeine". We shall see. I'm excited to see how it works out!!

MAKING IT REAL
Ok, the date is July 8, 2008 and I have been losing the battle against the scale. Today seems a little different than all the other times I have said I would lose weight. First of all, I just emptied my closet of all the ugly old looking cheap clothing that I have bought to cover my weight gain. I saved all the size 8 and size ten cute pants that I used to wear and put them in a bin in my closet as a reminder. I also saved my size 6 jeans and dresses that I loved 4 years ago, but can't seem to fit even a leg in. All the clothes are in 4 trash bags ready for Goodwill.
I have researched tons of exercises and realize that sitting here at the computer isn't getting them done. And although my least favorite thing to do is work out, I have to become committed to it and make it enjoyable. I also need to do 45 minutes instead of 30 since 30 doesn't do much.
I have gained so much weight in the past 6 years, and in the past few months as well. Yo yo diets make me gain even more. I have always blamed time as the issue but it is just LAZINESS.
Ok, here it is...
As of today, I weigh 158, my highest weight ever
I will be committed to eating healthy, and limiting my carb intake
I will go to the gym DAILY for one hour at least
I will limit my alcohol intake to two beverages when we go out, and drink tonic water thereafter
(that one is going to be a tough one!!)
My goal weight is is 138
My Goal date is September 8th
My reward will be a shopping spree with cute clothes that are for a 28 year old instead of clothes just to cover myself up.
